Froxica Vault (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an offline password and credential manager
developed by Senthilkumar Subramaniyan (Froxica). This Privacy Policy explains how the
app handles your information. Your privacy is the foundation of this app:
Froxica Vault is designed so that your data never leaves your device.
1.Summary
- Froxica Vault works 100% offline. It requests no internet permission and makes no network connections.
- We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any of your personal data on any server. We have no servers.
- All your data stays on your device, encrypted, under a key derived from your Master Password that only you know.
- We use no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no crash-reporting services.
2.Information the App Stores (On Your Device Only)
Froxica Vault lets you save credentials and related information so you can manage them securely. Depending on what you choose to enter, this may include:
- Titles, websites, app names, and URLs
- Usernames, passwords, and PINs
- Security questions and answers
- Recovery email addresses and phone numbers
- One-time password (TOTP/2FA) secrets and backup codes
- Payment card details you choose to store (card number, expiry, CVV, cardholder name)
- Notes, tags, and category labels
All of this information is stored exclusively on your device. It is encrypted at rest and is never sent to us or to any third party. We have no ability to access, view, or recover this data.
3.How Your Data Is Protected
- Encryption: Sensitive fields are encrypted using AES-256-GCM. The local database is additionally encrypted using SQLCipher.
- Key derivation: Your encryption key is derived from your Master Password using PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 with a high iteration count and a unique salt. Your Master Password is never stored in plain text and never leaves your device.
- Biometric unlock (optional): If you enable biometric unlock, authentication is handled by your device’s hardware-backed keystore. We never receive your biometric data; it never leaves your device.
- Screenshot protection: The app blocks screenshots and screen recording of sensitive screens to help prevent unauthorized capture of your data.
Because your data is encrypted with a key only you control, we cannot recover your data or your Master Password if you forget it. Please keep your Master Password safe.
4.Backups
Froxica Vault lets you create encrypted backups of your vault.
- Backups are created by you, and saved to a location you choose on your device or storage you control.
- Backups are encrypted. Portable backups are protected by a password you set.
- Backups are never uploaded to us or any third party. We do not have access to them.
- You are responsible for storing your backups securely. If you share or move a backup file, it remains protected by its encryption, but you should keep it private.
5.Permissions the App Uses
Froxica Vault requests only the minimum permissions needed to function:
- Biometric / fingerprint — to allow optional biometric unlock. Used entirely on-device.
- Storage (older Android versions only) — used solely to save and read your encrypted backup files on devices running older versions of Android. On modern Android versions, no storage permission is requested. This is never used to access unrelated files, and nothing is transmitted anywhere.
The app does not request internet, location, contacts, camera, microphone, or advertising permissions.
6.Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be explicit. Froxica Vault does not:
- Collect or transmit any personal data
- Use any analytics or usage-tracking tools
- Display ads or use any advertising identifier
- Use crash-reporting or telemetry services
- Create any account or require any sign-up
- Connect to any server, cloud, or external service
7.Purchases
Froxica Vault offers an optional one-time in-app purchase (“Froxica Vault Pro”) to unlock additional features. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google’s handling of your purchase is governed by
Google’s Privacy Policy. The app stores only a local flag indicating whether Pro features are unlocked.
8.Children’s Privacy
Froxica Vault is intended for adults (18 and over) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children — the app collects no data at all.
9.Data Deletion
Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you are always in full control:
- To delete specific entries, remove them within the app.
- To delete all app data, clear the app’s data in your device settings, or uninstall the app. This permanently removes all stored data from your device.
- Any backup files you created remain wherever you saved them until you delete them yourself.
We hold no copy of your data and therefore have nothing to delete on our side.
10.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
